Welcome Aboard!

There are a lot of things we could boast about at Tidal Bore Rafting Park & Cottages.  For example, it’s our 25th year in business with over 8000 people from as far away as New Zealand, Australia, Japan, South Korea and mainland China having visited the park last year – the largest number in our history!

Among those visitors were players, coaches and fans of the Latvian National Hockey Team, graduating students from New Glasgow High School (New Glasgow) and Kings Edgehill School (Windsor) and Ann and Dominick Gniewek (and their three children) from Kearney Lake, near Halifax. In addition, Tidal Bore Rafting Park has been featured in personal blogs, popular videos, prominent newspapers, travel magazines, national TV programs, and other media across North America (and beyond).

We are proud of our accomplishments, the facilities and unique adventures we provide and the people with serve. It is our hope that this, our official blog site, will provide some valuable insights into the fascinating, exciting and often extraordinary world of tidal bore rafting in Nova Scotia.

Enjoy!

“The bow of the boat is the wettest spot, of course, but there really isn’t much of a dry spot anywhere. I took the water shots with a cheap waterproof disposable film camera that the company was selling in the lodge. It did a decent job, and as you can see, timing is everything anyway!”
